ABC Greenlights Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series
There has been a dozen reports that ABC has green lighted Josh Wheaton’s S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series for a pilot. Now I don’t know about you, but there are a lot of hard-core fans out there for whom this is going to be extremely good news. It will be very interesting to see if Joss Whedon can keep up with the quality he had in the movie with this TV series.
Now although he is writing, it looks like he may be directing only the pilot, but I can’t seem to find any firm evidence pointing to this. There’s also been a few reports of Whedon’s brother Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen joining Whedon on this project. I don’t seem to find any information on which Marvel comics characters will find on this series. But having Joss Whedon behind the project, I’m betting that most of us will be pleased with what we see, assuming the series gets past the pilot. I also have read several instances that it would seem to be that everyone is in a in a hurry to get this taken care of and started. The only thing that I have seen with dates is IGN reports that it might be scheduled for the fall of 2013.

There has got to be at least a dozen more, but I will leave that up to you and Google to find.
I, for one, am excited! And if his brother is on board, then I’m even more excited. I want say that television has been bad to him, but it has proven finicky. Hopefully, the network will give him a nice big fat budget to work with and we’ll get a good caliber showing!
Of course, when his brother is around, they tend to do a lot of musical numbers. . . . . Avengers on Broadway, maybe?
