Fringe Renewed for Fifth Season
Fox has renewed Fringe for its fifth and final season. Fox ordered 13 episodes for the final season, bringing the series to a total of 100 episodes. 100 episodes is usually the threshold for getting a series into syndication.
Because the official descision came so late, the cast and crew shot multiple endings for the season 4 two part finale. Hopefully all the filmed endings will show up as an extra on the Blu-ray box set.
The good news for us fans is that we’ll get 13 more episodes to finish up all the story lines. Also the series will pass into syndication, so it will be easy to catch reruns on cable channels.
